@ladybowbaby It’s literally my favorite show of all time and yet I can’t help but loathe that an animated show needs to basically be The Sopranos or Breaking Bad (in terms of maturity and the type of subjects discussed, not necessarily tone) to be recognized by people :/

@JimRotVideo Not that all these shows should’ve made the list, it makes sense that live action TV dominates, but I think for one reason or another these all deserve to be in the conversation and some should’ve made it. Avatar, Invincible, AOT, FMA, HxH, and The Boondocks would prob be the 6.

@wwpryce Yeah I’m watching it for the first time along Buffy s4 (rewatch) and I’m enjoying it more than Buffy rn. Buffy has better monsters of the week, but it’s lacking in s1-3’s character moments for a good few eps. Every episode of Angel has at least one great character moment so far!

My point is that you can’t have Asa’s story as a whole without her constant honesty

But what teenager doesn’t use big words to act and feel more adult? Her bluntness / earnestness is a great part of her character. I feel like Yoru is more cryptic if anything
