The indies are dead*
*the indies that are trying to be the next PWG are dead. The rest of us are rocking, growing the industry into new spaces, gaining fans, and having a blast doing it.

Reflecting on PlayStation and Rockstars moves makes me think about the rest of the industry and how they have responded to monumental shifts like this.
Folks within the music industry can probably share some stories about the last 20 years. Even in the age of digital music, we didn't stop printing CDs. There are still options to keep music physical. There are ways of making it work. Preservation matters. We're watching our very history be compromised in today's age. It's unacceptable and it's yet another grain of rice that tips the scale on a society that is exhausted.
It's no surprise that every company that thinks they keep pushing users into a corner and assume they'll just accept it suddenly see that same fandom very quickly turn on them.
I'm not informed on how a company like PlayStation is making decisions among its teams, but I can tell that the company that inspired a commercial like "Michael" is either lost atm or gone forever.
Whatever they do from here can't simply be a retraction, they actively need to think about what this means to everyone who supported them all these years. A single post has resulted in some of the worst sentiment turn they've seen since the days of the PlayStation 3. You will have videos and thought pieces on this topic for years.
My hope this is the time you take to recognize who you are.

Hey Twitter,
News. After two years of managing global creators at Respawn, EA has laid me off. Said my role was no longer needed, etc. You heard it all before. Same old story.
So now I have to decide what's next:
