My current mood at the end of a long week. Hooray for the weekend! Astoundingly, this timeless study of much needed "time out" was taken 117 years ago. The autochrome was photographed way back in 1907 by Alfred Stieglitz and speaks to us just as much today as it did in the Edwardian Era. (I wonder what might in her carafe? Pour me a glass please)....
It's original colour and not colourised.

A TAUTOSTOP - ‘Tea’s tea!’

A tautostop is not an ancient rhetorical device at all. I literally invented the term to categorise the increasingly ubiquitous (and occasionally infuriating) rhetorical device where a speaker uses tautology to stop debate.

‘It is what it is.’

Do you use tautostops to shut people up? Have tautostops ever been used to shut you up?! Can we get this word tautostop into the Oxford English Dictionary?!
