Maama used to say she always wanted to see me go to work one day in a tie, dressed proper. She’s not here to see it,  but today was that day.

This win, this moment… it’s for her. For my fam that went the extra mile, For my district that trusted me with the biggest mandate. And elected me with the highest margin in the city. 

Sadly, it didn't hold any merit, because we revolve around a culture of persona based politics, 

for every long day that led here, being here since 2010, chasing something better for our generation, believing we can flip the system.

Today was for Maama.
Tomorrow will be for the generational flip I will achieve here, for the next generation, for the future, badhalakee aharumenn 💪
