Our VR of our final design is finally working! This enables us to get a feel for our design and see what it would actually look like in real life! Thank you to the SAAB mentors who allowed us to make our design a reality.

Team Zaha is very proud to announce that we are heading to the National Competitions in Sydney this December, after placing First in the Spatial Design category in the State Finals. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and mentors again who made this possible.

We are coming to the final stage of the SUBS in Schools State Competitions as we had all our judging today in preparation for the presentations tomorrow night. Thank you to everyone who has supported and given up their time for us through out the competition.

What is SUBS in Schools?

SUBS in Schools is an annual competition held by REA, the Department of Defence and SAAB. Teams have an option to design a ROV, submarine or a 3D virtual interior model of a submarine. Each design will be judged in August at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Why Zaha?

We are named after the architect Zaha Hadid. Her designs include the Guangzhou Opera House and the London Aquatic Centre for the 2012 Olympic Games. She has won many awards such as the first woman to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize and the Stirling prize twice.

Hi we are Team Zaha. We are competing in the SUBS in Schools competition. Our aim is to design a 3D virtual scale model on of living quarters in a modern submarine. Participating in this competition will allow us to develop a wide range of skills and gain insight in STEM careers.
