Good being the operative word. You absolutely do NOT need a man/any man because the wrong one can make your life harder, which is why it is also sunnah to do your due diligence on a potential spouse.

Having a good husband by your side makes life all the more easier, don’t believe those who say you don’t need a man. It’s an emphasised sunnah for a reason.
