@TomcatJunkie @ZarathosSerafen It's IR LEDs for head tracking. There are 3 cameras, one above and behind the pilot's head mounted to the seat and one on each side at the bottom of the canopy bow.
The gripen uses the same(?) system with the cameras at the top middle of the bow and to the left&right of the seat
