It's said that the sun is surrounded by the moons, this is true, ibn-Taymiyyah was the sun
Believe me once you started reading ibn-Taymiyyah and his student works there is no going back, You don't wanna read any other human being works.
May Allah have mercy upon their souls
A night like this ( Tarwiyah) is when Nabi Ibrahim عليه السلام had a dream that he sacrificed his son. He had the same dream again on the night of Arafat and also on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah before he went to slaughter him at Mina.
On that day ( Yawm an-Nahar),
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
"The greatest punishment Allah ﷻ can give a servant in this world is to remove the sweetness of worship from his heart." ~Majmu al-Fatawa, Ibn Taymiyyah
If salah feels like a burden, if Quran feels dry, if dua feels empty, that is not a small problem. That is the warning sign.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said:
“Indeed the slave if he strives as much as possible, he will never be able to worship Allah he way He has the right to be worshipped and the way He obligated upon him (the slave), so nothing will suffice him except doing Istighfar(seeking forgiveness) and Tawbah (repenting) to Allah after every act of obedience that he does.”
[Majmoo’ al-Fatawa, 10/570]
