Basically moving from Ardenne Road to Emancipation Park. 2 hours and counting.. atp whatever needs to happen so the government can develop a work from home system, needs to happen.
Cannot believe it's been 3 hours and New Kingston is basically standing still.
Jamaica, especially, can no longer support the work week as it currently exists.
There's traffic all day everyday. Every business wants to operate during the same hours. Weekend errands consume a ridiculous amount of time and energy.
The country is exhausted.
I'm confused don't the shipping companies make money and pay corporate tax? Don't we pay GCT to clear the bloodclaat package dem? Isn't Customs still raking in billions in profit?
As someone who has implemented a Work from Wherever (WFW) policy for their team, I am telling you if you or your team can do work from a laptop, there is no reason for you to insist that your employees/team be at the office 100% of the week. It's honestly counter productive.
You work 8 hours to live 4?
You work 8 hours to eat in 15 minutes?
You work 5 days to enjoy 2?
You work all year just to have 28 days of annual leave?
And people still call this a “life”.
I'll die on this hill: 9-5 is a SCAM.
I have a dilemma. I don’t understand why you have to wake up early in the morning, go through the stress of getting ready, and then sit through terrible traffic to get to the office… just to work on the same laptop that you brought from home.
