Let’s keep religion out of this and stick to the law.

Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Amendment Act 2024 deals with knowingly transmitting false messages where the required elements are established. It does NOT say that a person is automatically free from legal consequences simply because they later apologized, nor does it state a general “24-hour apology” rule.

So let’s not misrepresent the law to fit a narrative. If there is a legal complaint, let the proper authorities and courts determine whether the elements of an offence were actually established.

This should be discussed on the basis of facts, evidence and due process not religion, emotions or mob pressure.
