My dad was on 60 Minutes and absolutely smashed it! Thanks to CBS for giving these amazing gentlemen a platform to share their story. It's truly a story of Jewish resilience and I am constantly humbled by my Jewish elders.
The Ritchie Boys, many of whom were German-born Jews, were trained in interrogation and battlefield intelligence. But that wasn’t their only skill. They were also instrumental in convincing German units to surrender without fighting. https://t.co/ky5DHBJrzF
It looks like we’re gonna have a really strong Supporting Actor race this awards season but my argument for Ryan Gosling is that there is genuinely no other actor alive who could’ve played this role & done it justice the way he did and if we don’t honor that what’re we doing here
Something about Barbie's body betraying her, becoming unrecognizable to her...the way she had to completely start over in order to find happiness again...I have been thinking about this movie non-stop for 4 days.
Having a heat-impacted illness is so fun right now! I love looking at the upcoming weather! I feel amazing all the time! I am definitely able to do things like make food for myself and commute to work 😐😐😐😐😐
Using my new rollator is euphoric every time. I'm not scared that going outside or walking around a museum will be one more experience (+ rest of the day) ruined by disability. I might flare, but I can rest on the seat + keep my meds/drinks around...bless mobility aids.
@NoahKahan calling out people who came alone and traveling to get to the show in NYC...listen dawg I got broken up with in October of 2022 after moving from Hanover NH to Cambridge MA. I got reasons to be here.
Sometimes I think I'm a difficult person to love but then my cat is so eager to be loved by me that she pushes her entire self on my hand before I can even take off my shoes. She loves me even if I step on her tail or I pet her too much. Love is stored in the cat.
Sometimes Boston bus drivers are nice to you when you forget your wallet (and therefore your Charlie card) at home and you only have 65 cents on you and they let you get on anyway. I guess the world is still okay.
Absolutely bonkers that two days ago I was skiing in shorts and a sports bra right next to Canada feeling completely warm. Now I am chilly wearing a sweater and jacket in Cambridge. Weather be wild.
I have not been in a relationship for over 6 months, which is the longest I have been single since I turned 18. Yay, Kai. I am a whole person and offer so much to those around me! What a wacky idea.
The amount of money I spent at PAX East this weekend is between me and whatever eldritch horror possessed me to buy an outrageous number of items, many of which were sets of dice
So here's today's reminder that disability can look like anything. I'm disabled when I have a heart monitor stuck to my chest, when I'm using a cane, or when wearing compression tights. And I'm disabled when I'm not using any aids! #DisabilityTwitter#hEDS
In a *shocking* twist, I have been diagnosed with #POTS to go along with my previous diagnosis of hEDS. POTS was both my expected diagnosis and my fear--it isn't too dangerous, but all that can be done is continuing to manage my symptoms. At least now I have an expert on my team!
