After five unforgettable seasons, the time has come for me to say goodbye. Representing this club has been one of the greatest honours of my career, and I’ll always be proud to have worn the black and white shirt.
Thankyou for everything ⚫️⚪️ @saintmirrenfc
St Mirren Family,
There are no words that can sum up my love for you
You made me fall in love with football again
From singing my name on match days, to supporting me with tough times on and off the pitch. I just want to say thank you
I will always be your biggest fan🖤🤍
credit where it’s due, the greatest manager we’ve had in my lifetime.
timing is terrible and would’ve gave him his flowers at the end of the season, but regardless he leaves with nothing but the upmost respect.
Here’s to you…
Departure confirmed.
What Stephen Robinson achieved with this club should never be understated.
After a sticky start, he built a team that were very, very hard to beat, particularly at home.
Bringing our first top 6 finish in the new Premiership era.
Then did it again.
And again.
Claimed multiple Old Firm scalps, and certain grounds where we previously struggled to win, suddenly became happy hunting grounds.
He brought back European football to Paisley, and those nights against Valur and Brann will never be forgotten.
The SMISA became a place where teams rarely walked away without a battle, and crowds were booming.
But for me, and perhaps most significantly, he gave us a football club who on their day could compete with the very best in the country.
He instilled a belief and a determination in his squad that many of us had never seen before in the black and white of St Mirren Football Club.
He gave us a team, and a community that we could be proud of…
With all that said, I hope we fucking pump Aberdeen every time we play them.
So the question now is, who next?
Stephen Robinson brought back European nights to Paisley.
He brought us back to back to back top 6 finishes.
He brought us a national trophy.
He will go down as one of the finest managers the club has ever seen.
So for one final time, here’s to you, Stephen Robinson! 👏🏻👏🏻
While we are sad to see Stephen leave the club, he departs with the best wishes of everyone at St Mirren after four years of outstanding service.
Thank you for your contributions, Stephen.
St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Stephen Robinson has departed the club to join Aberdeen.
The board of directors and everyone at St Mirren would like to thank Stephen for the role he has played at the club during his four years in charge and wish him well for the future.
