@pronounced_kyle@dirtman It's also the wrong cost comparison. It's the cost of a few of these vs. re-building an entire comms/sensing architecture in an entirely different orbit. It could be $100M per shot and it's still valuable if you're losing the space race. Multi-orbit is the only way to resiliency.
I understand the temptation, but please do not do a press release about your selection for the SHIELD IDIQ. Although I do suppose the "$151B Contract Award" announcement was predictable when we were inundated with "$950M Contract Awards" during the early ABMS silliness.
1/ I spent a long time at Palantir chasing hard problems with brilliant people (can recommend).
So I think I know a good quest when I see it. Excited to announce that I started Valthos with @velvetatom and an incredible team
Live footage of me watching the team celebrate on the factory floor over facetime while I'm in DC (@bridgitmendler@ILIVETWICE can one of you turn the camera?)
Our leadership team met with Chairman Mike Rogers @RepMikeRogersAL of the House Armed Services Committee to discuss defense acquisition reform and the need for resilient, proliferated architectures in securing our national interests.
We value his leadership and the opportunity to share how Northwood is advancing this mission.
We were honored to welcome U.S. Representative Salud Carbajal @RepCarbajal and his team to Northwood HQ. Our founding team led a tour of our manufacturing facility and discussed the critical role of resilient, high-performance ground infrastructure in advancing U.S. and Allied government space interests, as well as the pressing need for acquisition reform.
