Some cool stuff I learned at ACen:

I didn’t know there were glowstick sized pen lights where to turn them on, you have to smack them like a glowstick, but they turn off with a button. They look cool, I want them.

Apparently there’s a Midwest wotagei group with a discord of over 100 members. Impressive. Even more impressive were the Midwest idol groups putting on a show at the con.

The one thing I got out of the SP panel was that there’s a maid/pirate concept cafe in Akihabara where you can pay money to get slapped across the face as hard as you want by a cute girl. Had to drop by their booth to get deets, not because I was interested or anything.

LA has 3 active maid cafes, so I was asking another person why he doesn’t go to them since he lives in LA. And he was all like being cool like, “nah man, if I want to go to a maid cafe, I go to Pure Maid in Akihabara, it’s just maids that that serve actually good food at reasonable prices with none of that moe moe kyun bs. It was the very first maid cafe that started it all.” He was adamant about how good it was, so now I have to check that one out.

And then I was told about an anime about a guy who got reincarnated as a sword and he helps a catgirl slave become super powerful. And am told this anime is literally the type of anime that’s made for someone like me and I have to watch it. Not sure what kind of impression of anime taste I give, but I will check this out and report back, lol.
