Token economics are complex by nature, hard to design well and even harder to explain. Making them legible to the people actually participating is very important for our space. Good job @DefiLlama@Forgd_
The era of obscure token information is over thanks to @DefiLlama
Yesterday they launched the Universal Token Ratings dashboard, built with @Forgd_
Over 100 tokens now have a single score from 0 to 100 and a rating from AAA to CCC, in real time
The score combines two axes 👇
→ Disclosure: team, tokenomics, vesting, legal and treasury structure
→ Performance: liquidity, spreads, volume, exchange coverage and market maker participation
The calculation is multiplicative (paper x market) and the score updates on its own with every unlock, listing or MM change
Let's look at an example:
Do you think the privacy narrative will be one of the hottest this year? if so, here's the ranking of the listed tokens in the sector 👇
1. $ZAMA (@zama) → AA, overall 49.46
2. $ZKC (@BoundlessHQ) → AA, overall 45.95
3. $ARX (@Arcium) → BBB, overall 33.26
4. $AZTEC (@aztecnetwork) → BBB, overall 32.49
5. $ESP (@EspressoSys) → BBB, overall 31.83
6. $ALEO (@AleoHQ) → CCC, overall 17.53
Extremely useful for retail investors
Privacy and confidentiality don’t mean volume metrics have to disappear.
If everything is hidden, how do you measure adoption? 👀
That’s one of the powerful things you can build with Zama FHE.
You can set a threshold for confidential activity, and once it’s reached, an authorized admin can make the aggregated volume publicly decryptable.
Anyone can then verify that a certain amount of volume moved through the confidential system, while individual transaction volumes remain private.
You might be able to make educated guesses, but you can’t determine who moved what.
That’s exactly how I’m able to track the volume of private payment requests on @zpayyapp without exposing the underlying private amounts.

Confidentiality doesn’t have to mean blind analytics.

Confidentiality alone doesn't drive institutional adoption. Utility does.
For @zama, the first utility built on the Confidential Tokens is onchain yield: institutions can earn yield without exposing their positions.
Zama launched its confidential vault, curated by @SteakhouseFi, a few weeks ago. Deposits have since passed $40M.

This is a project we built internally to prevent agents from going rogue. Think of it as a governance layer for AI agents inside your org! We decides to spin it out as its own project as we want it to be completely free, open source and owned by the community!
Something interesting is showing up in @zama's GitHub
There's a PR adding support for Polygon mainnet. It would mark Zama's first deployment beyond Ethereum.
With @0xPolygon building around the Open Money Stack and payments at scale, adding confidentiality to that stack could be a huge unlock, especially with exposed balances and transaction history remaining a barrier for institutions.
Zama's multichain thesis is starting to look very real.
The HTTPS moment for public blockchains might be getting closer.

Hello again, world!
Hacker News has been pretty quiet on X. Time to fix that.
Starting today, we'll be sharing interesting things people are building, discovering, and discussing on HN.
