All right. Let’s bust the propaganda.

Karnataka has 224 Assembly constituencies. Here’s a simple challenge: put up photographs of the children of BJP candidates in RSS uniform, attending shakhas, serving in gaushalas or actually living the lifestyle they prescribe so enthusiastically for everyone else.

How many can you find? Not even 10%.

Now go right to the top.

Amit Shah ji. Rajnath Singh ji. Nitin Gadkari ji. Anurag Thakur ji. S. Jaishankar ji. Ashwini Vaishnaw ji. Piyush Goyal ji etc etc

How many of their children are active RSS swayamsevaks? How many regularly attend shakhas?

If the RSS is supposedly the great school of nationalism, discipline and character-building, why does it so often seem that the syllabus is meant for other people’s children?

Before lecturing the country about patriotism, perhaps show us how many of your own political families practise what they preach.

And while you are at it, answer the questions on money too.

If large sums are collected as “Guru Dakshina” and in the name of nationalism, social service and religion, why should there be any hesitation about registration, audited accounts, donor disclosures and complete financial transparency?

Just answer two simple questions:

Where are your own children?

And where does the money come from and go?

The louder the preaching, the greater the obligation to practise it and to disclose it.

If the RSS is supposedly the world’s largest social organisation, why is it so allergic to registration, financial disclosure and public accountability?

What exactly is the problem with telling people who funds you, how much money you collect, where it comes from and where it goes?

Transparency shouldn’t terrify an organisation that claims to be serving the nation for 100 years.

And before prescribing shakhas, gau raksha, “culture” and nationalism to everyone else, perhaps BJP leaders can begin at home. Send your own children to shakhas every morning. Let them wear the RSS uniform, drink Gaumutra and become gau rakshaks and practise everything you so enthusiastically preach to other people’s children.

As for the BJP social-media warriors posting about me every single day, I have only one question:

Has the rate finally gone up from ₹2 a post or are you still working overtime without an appraisal?

PS: maybe you can ask 1 litre Gaumutra instead of a raise.
