A day of mind boggling news already. This is terrible, and the utility to the consumer is virtually nil. Palantir already has access to so much information about you, and ICE among others are using it.

Each datum individually is not the issue. The *aggregation* is not governed by privacy law and is an explicit danger to individual liberty. Do you want a private company with a close relationship to an authoritarian administration with a record of everything you've read online?! Added to everywhere you've ever lived, traveled, every ad you've ever interacted with, search you've conducted, prompt you've executed and so on. Now layered on with Palantir's (relatively) new AI capabilities so probability is added to the mix.

Why and how is this necessary or useful and to whom? In many cases of Palantir data collection, there's a benign used case on the surface, but that is not even true here at all.
