@maklelan I would argue we can have objective moral facts, but not that they are independent of thought or discourse. They're more emergent properties.
Ultimately, I can't argue what is wrong to someone else unless we have some sort base. But it need not come from a lawgiver.
@QueenMomichan@Sapphoshandgun it isn't.
I think what they should have said is "Not taking hormones is not gender non-comforming."
Sure, other things about you can gender noncomforming, but that particular thing isn't. You're still a perfectly valid gender noncomforming transmasc enby.
@Deadname42069@QueenMomichan@Sapphoshandgun and since identity is part of it, your claim that a trans man who is not (currently) presenting outwardly as male is not a man "in any meaningful way" is both false and misgenders such men.
gender identity is a key part of being trans. don't go trashing it.
@stoptouchi69898@DanielPark43278@mattvanswol No. No they didn't.
You're talking about the era when literally everyone in the US was an immigrant from somewhere else.
And no one lived on the borders directly to shoot anyone.
@maklelan Seems more likely to me that he knew this and is playing it up counting on fanning the flames for those who didn't know it.
A nuclear scientist was not bad in school and civics is one of the easiest classes for everyone.
@wiremxther i've yet to see you say anything that could even be misunderstood as transphobic?
all i see is that you are somewhat genderfucky (less so since you went public) and rarely very serious.
wtf could they even be referring to?
@wiremxther like, usually, if I'm aware enough to think about it, then I will confidently know I'm not dreaming. I'm too aware of everything.
Occasionally I think about whether I'm dreaming in my dream, and I instantly know "yes, I am." It's the only reason I even think about it.
@wiremxther eh. unless you have issues with nocturnal bladder control, this is unlikely. usually it just means you need to pee, and so you imagine resolving it.
also, like, if I'm aware enough to think about whether I'm dreaming, I always know the answer. is that unusual?
@good_ol_ducky@moonlittoxicity@Fanglorious_me@harlivymaclay also just a lot of young people figuring things out. I feel getting older helps you stop caring about the specifics and letting people call themselves what they want, and not assume any sort of agenda or negative meaning.
@good_ol_ducky@moonlittoxicity@Fanglorious_me@harlivymaclay this makes a lot of sense to me.
I think people are reacting because they think of that cis guy who claims loves women in a lesbian way (or that lesbians should want to date him, which ew).
And then they project that back onto trans men.
@wiremxther you should be able to get access to your own medical records, i would think. (just might need to use your old name to do it, unf)
i could see it just being other temporary medical stuff mom doesn't quite remember. hope it's more like that.
@OnDaMountainTop@xxkilla_krisxx Anyways, the answer is, well, a combination of being very sensitive to misgendering from the trans side, and making any excuse to be transphobic from the other side.
@OnDaMountainTop@xxkilla_krisxx I was literally about to make that point: is saying a black man doesn't have the same institutional privileges as a white man saying that he's not a man?
@angelic_dovez@xxkilla_krisxx of course you do.
do they not realize how much TERFs spew misandry at trans women, treating them and cฮนs men the same way?
@wiremxther yeah, deep pressure. often used to help autistic kids. I enjoy it too.
you might also like weighted blankets, and look into devices that can give you deep pressure when you're stressed and alone. :)
@thevoidopens That's probably the way to show gender non comforming and nonbinary people mixed with binary trans people. Because I can totally understand why being depicted as different from c!s women might flare up someone's dysphoria, feeling not a woman.
And I just want people happy.
@thevoidopens hmm. I can't say I really think in terms of "want" about other people. me: yeah, idealized.
I don't really see any particular reason to distinguish trans women from cis women in most cases, and when you do want to show inclusion, there's the trans flag coloration ready to go.
