A lot of the lifestyles we were discouraged from exploring while growing up are the very things protecting us today as adults. Back then, we thought our parents were being too strict and harsh on us. We didn’t understand why they had so many rules.

Now, we’re beginning to realize they weren’t just being strict they were protecting us from dangers and predators we were too young to recognize. Sometimes, what felt like restriction was actually protection.
