The fact that we even need to state this shows how far UK medicine has fallen.

It takes 10 to 15 years of medical training AFTER a 5 / 6 year medical degree to become an NHS consultant. How can a science graduate with a 2 year masters with no formal medical training as per @TheBMA go on the same on- call rota?

This is unsafe for patients.
