@ogbonna_collin @EJGoulet Agreed on citywide applicability (we actually have a citywide curfew for young people- 11 pm, midnight on weekends during the summer). And we do need police but they are not and cannot be the sole solution to any public safety issue. Upstream solutions are deeply important.

@ogbonna_collin @EJGoulet And we definitely have spoken to both young people and those who work with them. Post pandemic has been challenging due to social emotional learning loss and many kids have tough situations at home. Solutions are multilayered. Curfew is just one tool to keep kids & others safe.

@ogbonna_collin @EJGoulet As for kids in other areas, our goal isn't to remove kids from being out. They live in the city. It's to prevent crime and disorder. For Tenleytown, we're working with schools, safe passage and MPD to shift resources to keep things safe after school.

@ImmortaINight @RizomaSchool This isn't true. The fountains have been off for nearly 20 years. Much of the deterioration in Union Station happened post-Covid when WFH (esp on Capitol Hill) really changed the station. It wasn't fixed because NPS didn't prioritize fixes to DC properties.

@JillFilipovic Perhaps the inverse question should be asked: what are the qualifications for Senate? If not honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, good decision making, fairness than what?

That integrity actually matters for those who are being trusted with the greatest amount of power over the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

@jonfavs He seems based on past action to be untrustworthy, disloyal and of questionable character. It's also unclear what exactly his experience is to be in one of the highest elected offices in the country. But he's your guy and you're sticking by him.

One of the main reasons I work in local govt is to serve people. So, nothing brings me more joy than being out and seeing so many people out and about truly enjoying the city. That's literally why we work so hard.

@ConorMSavoy I know this isn't the point of this, but thank-you for testifying at trial. People being willing to step in this way can often be extremely difficult to find but is so crucial for accountability and justice.
