That’s why I love the dynamic between KC and Aniya’s relationship so far. There are a lot of layers to it that many people don’t see.
It highlights a problem that happens in a lot of real life relationships. Sometimes the feelings and effort are one sided. One person is giving it their all, while the other person mostly values how that person makes them feel.
That’s why I respect KC for ending things when he felt he wasn’t getting what he needed from the relationship. A lot of people stay in situations like this and keep giving more and more of themselves, hoping things will change. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. But once you start realizing the position you’re in, those feelings can turn into frustration, regret, and even resentment. You could see some of that in the comments KC made about Aniya in Casa. They didn’t come from a place of hate. They came from a place of realization, he felt like he was doing everything he could and it still wasn’t enough.
At the end of the day, your life and your emotions are yours. If you’re not happy with what you and your partner have, you have every right to walk away. It’s not even about being a bad person or hurting the other person. It’s about doing what’s best for YOU and YOU alone.
Some people may call it selfish, but it’s your life. Don’t let anyone ever guilt trip you into thinking you were wrong for choosing to do what’s best for YOU. ✌️
