Interested in learning about the effects immigration has on children’s minds and how it affects the creation roots and feel comfortable about their identity.
So grateful for everyone along my Sacred Heart journey. I feel so lucky to have met such wonderful girls, teachers, and people while at SHG, and I will never forget my time here. Seven years were truly not enough 🧡🧡🧡
I encourage you all to read "The Un-American Dream" and learn more about the glorified immigration process and the tainted American Dream that pulls immigrants into the US only to face more struggles upon arrival.

I never thought this day would come! I’ve been at Sacred Heart for 13 years and I can’t believe I’m saying goodbye soon! Also this is a photo from 1st grade!!
Thank you to everyone who made this year in Senior Seminar one I truly will never forget. I believe that this class transformed my way of thinking and developed my values as a whole!
Toni Morrison brings awareness to the importance of acknowledging the impact people's actions have on children. This quote relates to immigration as the actions of our government, leaders, border patrol, parents, and others impact children and the lives they will lead.
Waiting prolongs action and only lets the issue grow, letting it become insurmountable and uncontrolled. Immigration needs to be attacked at the root, and the government needs to be attentive to the realities and struggles many immigrants are facing currently.
Weeks after revelations that migrant children are being regularly exploited for cheap labor in the U.S. prompted bipartisan outrage and calls to action on Capitol Hill, Congress has moved no closer to addressing the issue. https://t.co/PS0luGOdC6
"This bill is a rerun of Donald Trump's biggest failures and inhumane border policies. This is the Child Deportation Act because that's exactly what this does. It doesn't address any single issue at the border." - @RepMaxwellFrost on Republicans' immigration bill
I wanted to share an article I read regarding the struggle many immigrants face with their identities. This article is wonderfully written, with first-hand insights into different immigrants' lives and the effect this issue has had on them. https://t.co/dFp3nEANoj

A2. While reading "Tattoos on the Heart," the everpresent theme of kinship is expressed as " not serving the other, but being one with the other" (188). Boyle alludes to vulnerability as that anchor that grounds humanity and allows them to become one. #sensemchat
