My books from 2022
*I’m baaaaack (and I’ve had another baby)…*
Every Thursday I have one morning alone a week. This is the time I write and it’s heaven.
What I write is here…and my most recent post is a round up of all the books I’ve read from 2022:

As part of #UKCoachingWeek we're celebrating the many stories of inspirational Berkshire coaches! Like this one sent from Zara at @UKPhoenixLax. Tag us in your coaching stories, highlight someone you know and share why being a coach is so rewarding!🎉 @_UKCoaching
Because I’m not teaching English, I’m writing. Because I’m a Mum of Two at home, I need an outlet.
My blog is that outlet.

@Comment_Ed @FunkyPedagogy Check out my bio for my blog (Quetzalcoatl). I’ve made my way through 12 poetry collections in the last week (for my year 9 anthology) so should probably do a poetry post soon.
Trundling into the great tradition of Pig Poetry with my poem 'Bounty' in the new Poetry Review. Thank you so much @no1_emily & @PoetrySociety. Here is the gorgeous cover by @AnnaJensenArt & the gorgeous dear pig my poem is named after 🐽
So thrilled to be nominated for best food! Thanks @SchoolsTatler, looking forward to the awards ceremony on Tuesday 6 October. In the meantime, here is something to whet your appetite...
@SarahCrossan Hi Sarah, we are in our first Moonrise lesson with Year 9s. They are asking to speak to you...reckon you could do a zoom/Teams chat with us? We would love to talk to you!
So pleased to officially announce that my second poetry pamphlet will be published by @VervePoetryPres in 2021! I'm really proud of this collection and glad it's found a good home with Verve. More details to follow soon x
It's not just poets who are horrified at Ofqual's decision to make poetry an optional GCSE subject. Anything that reduces children's experience of the imaginative power of linguistic play is a mortal sin against language and literacy.
@maryjean_chan@PoetrySociety Yes thank you. Just about coping with a nearly 8 month old...she’s a delight to be able to nurture every day. Getting ready to teach in Sept...hope we’re all back by then! I hope the teaching is well at Brookes?
