Message to Conference in Berlin: Iran crisis & democratic solution
For forty-seven years, a deep and protracted conflict has unfolded in Iran—one that constitutes the true battle, far eclipsing any external conflict. That is the war between the Iranian people and religious fascism.

Message to Conference in Berlin: Iran crisis & democratic solution

Germany is among the nations fully empowered under the principle of universal jurisdiction to prosecute regime leaders in its own courts for crimes against humanity.

Furthermore, closing the regime’s embassy and expelling the overt and covert operatives of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence from German soil must no longer be delayed.

Most crucially, the international community must formally recognize the Iranian people's fight to overthrow religious fascism and the legitimate struggle of rebellious youth against the criminal IRGC.

The future of a country is to be made by the hopes of its people, not by the fear of losing their lives. We stand with every Iranian who wishes for a society where human dignity is respected and no one is hanged for their beliefs.

[OIAC: Organization of Iranian American Communities @OrgIAC]

Stop the executions in Iran. We stand for the right to life, for the dignity of every human being, and for the freedom of the Iranian people #StopExecutionsInIran

[Nasim Pouraghayee @Zarinajqt]

We cannot erase the pain of families that have already lost someone they loved to execution. But we can choose not to turn away from those whose lives are still in our hands. Iran’s reports require sustained international attention, not a flash of outrage followed by silence.

[OIAC: Organization of Iranian American Communities @OrgIAC]

Over 2,200 people have been executed in Iran since January 2026. The majority were pro-democracy protesters and political dissidents who participated in the nationwide uprising earlier this year.

This regime is faced with mounting international pressure, and they are increasingly using executions to prevent another nationwide uprising. Action must be taken now. @StateDept_NEA @UN @UN_HRC

[Nasim Pouraghayee @Zarinajqt]

Thank you Paulo Casaca for joining Gina Romero in this hunger strike for Iran’s prisoners on death row. Your solidarity reminds the world that every threatened life is a person whose right to live must not be forgotten.

German Critics Challenge Reza Pahlavi’s Role in 2026 Freedom Prize for Iranian People
…

A freedom prize should honor the people who paid the price

The German signatories reportedly welcome the decision to dedicate the 2026 Freedom Prize to the Iranian people but call for the foundation to reconsider how the award will be presented. Their proposed alternative is to ensure that the honor is received in a genuinely inclusive manner by Iranian women and men who have directly participated in the struggle for freedom and personally paid a price for it.

Such an approach would keep the focus on the people the award is intended to honor rather than on the political ambitions or symbolic standing of a single individual.

The question facing the Friedrich Naumann Foundation is therefore larger than the selection of a representative for a ceremony. It concerns the meaning of democratic solidarity with a people struggling against dictatorship.

If the prize is truly intended to recognize Iran’s fight for freedom, its presentation should not be interpreted as a political endorsement of hereditary leadership or as a declaration that Reza Pahlavi speaks for the Iranian nation. The people who have resisted repression, endured imprisonment, faced execution, and continued to demand fundamental rights deserve recognition in their own right.

Iran’s future belongs neither to the ruling theocracy nor to the heirs of the former monarchy. It belongs to the Iranian people, who must be free to determine their country’s political future through a democratic process without imposed rulers or self-appointed representatives.

[NCRI-U.S. Rep Office @NCRIUS]

Maryam Rajavi: UN Special Rapporteur Gina Romero’s @Ginitastar solidarity with the "#NoToExecutionTuesdays” hunger strike should translate into global action to stop executions in Iran, including independent international inspections of prisons and the prosecution of regime officials for crimes against humanity under the principle of universal jurisdiction. An end to executions must also be placed at the heart of all political, economic and international relations with the Iranian regime.
