Un español muy yankee
Hoy cumple 43 años (al menos, eso dice el caprichoso calendario) una de las pocas personas que padece esa extraña enfermedad que es la “megacardiopatía”. A veces pienso que la naturaleza le otorgó esa envergadura para dar cabida a ese corazón que, a pesar de todo, casi no le cabe.
Tontos, muy tontos, son los que se quedan con la sensación de que Zaryn es exageración, vanidad, praxismo, un puñetazo en la mesa, o esos golpes de espalda que desarman el esqueleto. Quien se quede en la superficie de este maravilloso ser se está perdiendo todo un misterio de inteligencia, bondad, consejo, generosidad e intuición desmesurados.
Conocí a Zaryn hace casi tres años. Apareció como aparece en la vida. Como un tsunami difícil de entender y difícil de seguir. Pensé que sería complicado construir a su lado nada parecido a una amistad, pues parecía que vivía en unos decibelios que era imposible alcanzar. Pero pronto, muy pronto, entendí, vi y disfruté que detrás de ese torbellino de humanidad había un alma que transcendía las apariencias. Descubrí que estaba ante alguien especial. Alguien a quien no le importa qué, quien, como ni por qué. Y sin embargo, sin parecerlo, sabe enseguida leer por detrás de la vida. Parece que no te está escuchando, que anda en ese universo tan amplio que tiene su inquieta cabeza, y de repente te suelta: “te estás sacando un ojo para no quedarte ciego”. Y tú, que llevas dos semanas dándole vueltas a aquel jodido problema, piensas: “puto yankee de los cojones, cuánta razón tiene”.
Tiene la terrible manía de no ser indiferente. Los envidiosos y pusilánimes aprovechan para intentar hacer de la exageración un defecto. Sin darse cuenta que Zaryn es un terremoto de generosidad y de bondad. Al que le importa un carajo si eres CEO o limpias un portal, aunque sabe qué necesita el uno y el otro, teniendo la manía siempre de ayudar más al segundo que al primero, porque lo necesita más.
No lo sabéis, pero nuestro Zaryn es el creador de una filosofía que va a regir el siglo XXI: la grandeza de lo simple. No hacen falta grandes discursos. No hacen falta digresiones interminables. Cortita y al pie. Se trata de escuchar de verdad y, después, dar en la diana del diagnóstico y ofrecer la solución adecuada. Ha sido divertido ver desarmados a teóricos de la vida cuando después de alguna diatriba que traían ensayada se quedaban mudos ante una rápida pregunta de nuestro Z. No se confundan amigos. Lo simple no es simplista. Hay que ser muy inteligente para llegar a conclusiones simples que mueven el mundo.
Así que, amigo Zaryn, no cambies mucho. Sigue cumpliendo años. Y cuídate porque, cuidándote, nos cuidas un poco a todos. ¡Muchas felicidades!

American defense personnel in Israel discovered spyware surreptitiously installed on their phones.

In 2021, Israeli military intelligence officers were caught planting listening devices at DIA headquarters.

Last year, Shin Bet officers were discovered trying to bug a Secret Service vehicle.

A SECRET SERVICE VEHICLE.

One senior official described the Israeli collection effort against top U.S. officials as "unhinged."

And the rating in context: Israel's counterintelligence threat level is now higher than any other American ally and EVEN HIGHER than some adversaries.

Colby is the most prominent advocate of foreign policy restraint in the government.

DiMino runs Mideast policy. Witkoff writes the deal.

Israel's espionage maps perfectly onto the people standing between Netanyahu and the war he wants to continue. They bugged the peace.

All of this while Israeli officers sit inside CENTCOM with unprecedented access, while Congress moves Section 224 to link the two militaries' systems and data permanently, and while Huckabee negotiates the framework.

The Pentagon says the ally is spying at a critical level.

Washington's answer is to hand them the keys to the network. Please make it make sense...
