@champion_blaze I liked this movie too. For once, the villain actually did something genuinely evil, he murdered Coco’s parents, instead of just going for the usual “I’ll rule the world” or “I’ll destroy it” routine.

If Square Enix wants to know why physical sales are low, maybe actually put the game on the cartridge instead of selling Game Key Cards that still require a full download.

Hard to call that a compelling physical option.

Square Enix’s latest financial results show how heavily game sales have shifted toward digital.

During Q1:

>Physical: 9.8%
>Digital: 90.2%

Digital sales now make up 90.2% of Square Enix’s total game unit sales, compared to 9.8% for physical.

The digital share increased by 4.1% year over year.
More than 9 out of every 10 games sold were digital during the quarter.

More and more companies are reporting their main audience is digital, this is the future…

@Phil1UpCollects Better question is for games available in both physical and digital formats, how many copies were sold each way? Digital only games should be excluded from that comparison, otherwise the numbers are naturally skewed toward digital.

One consolation is that consoles stil has it. Or at least has it for now.
