The problem might not be how much brands spend on marketing, but how well they distribute.

Brands spend millions trying to buy attention. Meanwhile, an entire creator army is sitting there waiting to distribute."

Maybe brands don't need bigger marketing budgets. Maybe they need better distribution systems.

Shaquille O'Neal is worth $500 million and he just told his 6 kids they aren't getting a single dollar handed to them.

On a podcast, Shaq explained why his kids are mad at his rule:

"My kids are older now and they're kinda upset with me. Because I tell them all the time: We ain't rich. I'm rich. In order to touch daddy's cheese, you gotta present me with two degrees."

If they want startup money, he makes them pitch him with a full business plan.

The crazier part: after turning down $14.5 million for that rom-com, McConaughey took just $200,000 upfront to film Dallas Buyers Club a 98.6% pay cut and lost 47 pounds for the role.

Matthew McConaughey went 20 months without a single job offer after he told Hollywood he was done making romantic comedies.

Studios tried to break him by raising his offer from $8M to $10M and finally offered him $14.5 million for one rom-com script.

He turned it down flat:

"Word finally got around Hollywood: 'McConaughey's not bluffing. Quit sending him romantic comedies!'"

Right after the 2-year drought ended, he booked Wolf of Wall Street, True Detective, Interstellar, and won the Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club.
