Kicker Eddy Pineiro and the 49ers reached agreement today on a four-year, $17 million extension that includes $10 million guaranteed, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. Pineiro is now off the market and will not become a free agent this week.
The Niners had to play the Mahomes dynasty Chiefs in the Super Bowl twice and the Seahawks get to play the San Jose State club flag football team, nice.
The Golden State Warriors are signing two-way guard Pat Spencer to a contract for the rest of the season, Mark Bartelstein and Ross Aroyo of @PrioritySports tell ESPN.
Deion Sanders reflects on his time playing in San Francisco for the 49ers and Giants:
โThis city has always been dear to me because it birthed me my first Super Bowl and validated me and put a stamp on me. To all my teammates, I love you all and appreciate you all because I definitely couldnโt have done it without yโall.
I was blessed to play with the greatest baseball player to ever lace them up. And that was Barry Bonds โ still to this day. Itโs a travesty of what yโall are doing to him. He had 3 MVPโs before you even accused him of anything. Thatโs unbelievable.โ
