@SpeakBigTruth1 Not everyone agrees. I know Christians have "explanations" to work around contradictions, but I'm not convinced. If the Bible were written by a perfect god, people shouldn't need to explain away a lot of things, either.

There are good reasons to conclude that "Lord of the Rings" is the revelation of Gandolf. 1. Gandolf exists. 2. LOTR is historically reliable. 3. In LOTR Gandolf claims to be the Gandolf the White. 4. Gandolf proved it by miracles.

Claims don't prove anything...

@SpeakBigTruth1 Your examples are all include physical objects. Wanting life to last longer isn't evidence that it does.

And being able to give examples of a statement doesn't make it true in all cases.

How do you know?

2. Human beings want to live forever. Therefore, there must be an immortal life after death.

How does the second statement need to derive from the first (paraphrased)?

@SpeakBigTruth1 If by "indefinite" you mean "eternal," stating that actions are only relevant if they have eternal results is inaccurate. There's no reason to believe that claim.

Wanting to believe our actions have an eternal effect isn't evidence for Bible god.

If Vishnu does not exist then the universe has no meaning, no value, and no purpose, therefore life would be absurd.

We don't know how or why the universe began. That doesn't have to lead to your conclusion, unless you're using it to prove the existence of your deity.

Even if the evidence for a specific claim is not sufficient to prove it, it is certainly sufficient to make belief that the general version of the claim is true to be reasonable. The rational man can hardly be blamed if he believes a claim with no evidence.

There aren't any contradictions with, "We don't know," unlike the Bible's claims.

I'm curious about the historical accounts of Jesus being seen after his death.

The origin of the disciples’ belief in his resurrection.

Myths are common & don't have to be accepted as truth because people believe them.

The Bible only provides "objective moral values" if you define them as "anything the Bible says or Bible god does."

For example, drowning most of your creation for acting the way you created them would generally not be considered moral, unless you define it as moral.

No.

Good. Then if the universe was intelligently designed, there's no reason to believe the Bible provides the method of design.

We don't know that. Without evidence to back your claim up, you could substitute any writing with origin claims here.
