The hardest thing is falling out of love with someone you never wanted to fall out of love with. It hurts letting go… Truly taking a step back and acknowledging someone else’s actions is numbing. I realized to you, I was never a priority/first choice but you were to me.
@MattWallace888 It is absolutely insane to see how much hate is in the world today. These teens deserve to be imprisoned for the rest of their life. If a teen is capable of making the decision to kill someone else, they should be tried as an adult.
@EddieComeaux@UCLALawReview@DrUJayakumar Concerns about the preferential treatment of white, affluent student-athletes in prestigious schools raise valid questions about equity. Examining and challenging these disparities is essential to making a change. However its sad to see that many schools focus on profit.
@trinbans @KatryaLy Regardless as to what is implemented to help student athletes and hoping that it will be fair regardless of race or color is not something that can be accomplished. The white majority has always been favored in this sense. It’s time schools take accountability

It is important that we acknowledge the racism that is still present in sports today. Even though we have an amplitude of diversity, there is still a significant amount of white privileged seen in sports.

@mguzm083@TA_ED50 Hi Miriam!
I definitely do not think it is fair to be living under the regulations in which they do. Sadly, these schools need to profit and do not understand and realize that, scholarships may not pay for all of the students needs, and sports consume a lot of their time.
Why is it okay for colleges to take advantage of their athletes? They bring in so much revenue yet… they don’t see that money. They are owned by a school, and are not even allowed to use their own name to potentially make profit and benefit.

@Jacqueline64118@KatryaLy Hi Jacqueline!
I agree that male athletes are used to promote and bring in more audience. I think honestly Title IX was implemented to show that the colleges are doing something however mindsets need to be changed.
@TA_ED50#UCR50
Title IX was implemented to try and eliminate the discrimination of a persons sex that is presented in sports however, is it really something that can stop discrimination or is the ideals and mindsets that need to be changed? #ucr50
@alpxrzj@abhornUCRedu Hi Alper! I think with the right resources and programs college athletics has the potential to thrive. It is important to integrate more meeting discussing diversity and the problems that many athletes and coaches face do to the lack of.
#ucr50@TA_ED50
I think it’s sad to see that we still live in a society where discrimination against people of color is still present. The goal should be to integrate these students into a healthy lifestyle, not one where they are doubting themselves and their abilities.
@NingWei0808008@TA_ED50 Hi Ning!
I definitely agree that drug abuse stems from immense pressure. A lot of times these athletes end up using steroids as a way to succeed. Failure isn’t an option to them, as many times they rely on scholarships to be able to pay for college.
@TA_ED50#UCR50
The saddest thing about college athletes is that we don’t tend to realize how much they truly endure mentally. Many times, they are overworked and not appreciated enough for what they do. As educators, ensuring the success of the students is essential.
@TA_ED50#ucr50
@giannimontebano@TA_ED50 Hi! I think that paying athletes a salary would make the financial budget for schools less. Ultimately paying athletes could potentially mean a cut in pay for the rest of the faculty and educational funding.
@TA_ED50#ucr50
Why is our priority athletics over education? Do we not want to create new innovations and excel in society? Athletes play for entertainment of the American people whereas an education can HELP better America as a whole.
