💣What is the Tekikian Detonator?🎇
The earliest prototype of the Tekikian Detonator dates back to the great war that drove the population from the surface. Initially not much more than an incendiary improvised explosive, the detonator has gone through several different evolutions over the last 200 years.
Roughly 6-8 inches in diameter, the detonator is an easy to conceal and lightweight projectile. The body of the detonator is constructed of lightweight metal and several different LED indicators that denote the bomb's state (activated, deactivated, timed explosion, remote controlled). Each faction has taken its own spin on what the detonator’s main function can be.
The Depth Fantoms use the detonator as an electromagnetic pulse weapon. By utilizing the chemical reaction between a heavy induction of electromagnetism and crushed Onyxium, the Phantoms have created a device that can knock out electronics in a 50m radius of the weapons detonated center. This is an extremely useful item for those looking to cause chaos or disrupt enemy communications in certain locations.
The Veiled Dragoons have a penchant for large explosions. Their take on the detonator is a much more classic version of a grenade. The Dragoons Detonator contains a Newtonian liquid called Dragon’s Breath that acts as the weapon’s main active agent. The substance allows for the ordinance to be transferred and even struck without activation, which makes the transportation of the item especially easy. There is an ignition mixture in the pin of the detonator that when it reacts with Dragon’s Breath causes a massive fiery explosion as well as a concussive blast.
Finally, the Shadow Reavers Take on the Detonator lends well to their stealth-based nature. Like a smoke grenade, the projectile, when activated, creates a dense cloud of black smoke that covers an area of roughly 30m in radius. Packed with a prepared mixture of fine minerals, the smoke cloud absorbs all light inside of its radius, making it impossible to see anything within its covered field. This can prove extremely useful for close-quarters combat, or to allow the Reavers to escape and achieve a better vantage point in battle.
