@Ulf_Othvegin @ONS NATO haven't invaded. The Baltic States have been members of NATO for ages now and Russia didn't invade them. If Ukraine had joined NATO in 2008 Ukraine would be at peace.

@Ulf_Othvegin @ONS Obviously some people do well out of war, but I don't think Putin invaded Ukraine so that US weapons manufacturers could enrich themselves, and Ukrainians are not fighting for their freedom for that reason either.

And Britain has spent itself into penury at a time of relative peace.

The road back from that will be hard.

Most "British" companies have been sold off to foreigners, but that's a separate issue. The factories and jobs are still in Britain.
