Those in positions of power/privilege need to acknowledge the barriers of BIPOC (ESP Black/Indigenous) artists in and make change. The intersectionality of race, gender, class and art are a part of many artists’ lived experience and will always be part of the conversation.
@ProudNft the LGBTQ+ community is not a monolith with different privileges/oppression within that group. build a home as if for your own family and make space for all, esp the ones who challenge you. even the happiest homes have problems so address it. ur community is your success.
WAGMI. I get that it’s something we love to say with the sell-out projects and strong communities. But the conversation happening in a lot of these discords take WAGMI a bit too far ‘cause in all honesty, we are not all gonna make it. 🧵
As the bearer of bad but very realistic news, a majority of startups fail within 5-10 yrs. @garyvee adds an even more depressing thought - 98% of projects will be bad investments. So it seems essential that a lot of us need to ask more questions and get out of groupthink.
