Today is a great and game-changing day for 348 young people from Kamukunji who will be graduating at the YMCA National Training Institute in Shauri Moyo. This is the first cohorts of over 1,600 youth whom we sponsored for skills training in multiple technical fields and trades in February 2026 under Kamukunji NG-CDF youth empowerment programme.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula warned that visiting school children could be removed from the public gallery after causing drama by applauding during a session.

The drama unfolded when Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan was given a minute to welcome students from Al-Muhajirun Academy, a school in his constituency.

The bursary registration will continue tomorrow, February 10th, at the Chief's Camp in Eastleigh South Ward in the morning and at Kiambiu Chief's Camp in the afternoon. As the community comes together to support its children's education the future of Kamukunji is in good hands.
