North West businessman Suliman Carrim is expected to return to the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Thursday after his previous appearance was postponed due to ill health and hospitalisation.
According to evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson, at the time, Carrim submitted a detailed medical report indicating that he was not fit to testify, leading to an agreement between the commission and his legal team to reschedule his testimony.
His has to answer a series of questions on his business relationships with figures including Vusimuzi Matlala and Hangwani Maumela, as well as allegations surrounding SAPS contracts and financial transactions currently under scrutiny.
