Staying away from riba is a form of jihad,
a struggle against the desire for instant results.
Because faith is not only in words,
but also in the financial choices we make.
“Whoever stops after receiving a warning from their Lord may keep what was taken before.”
(Surah 2: 275)
When plans don’t work out,
it doesn’t mean Allah doesn’t care.
Perhaps He is protecting us
from something we’re not ready to face yet.
Gratitude brings a calmer heart.
“Allah is Gentle with His servants.”
(Surah Ash-Shura: 19)
Not every prayer is answered with exactly what we ask for. Some are answered by delay, or replaced with something better. That is where gratitude is tested,
whether we still trust & believe in Allah. “But it may be that you dislike something while it is good for you.”(Q.S 2: 216)
Everything that slips away
was never written to be ours.
What isn’t meant for us,
will never stay with us,
because Allah alone has the right to decide.
“Know that if all of mankind gathered to benefit you, they could not do so except with what Allah has already written for you"
We make our plans,
but Allah decides the outcome.
Our duty is not to guarantee results,
but to perfect our effort and our trust in Him.
Believe that Allah’s decree is always for our good.
“Perhaps you dislike something while it is good for you…” (Qur’an, Al-Baqarah 2:216)
Nothing is ever truly lost.
Everything simply returns to the One who owns it.
Back to the one who has full authority,
Allah, who always knows,
what deserves to stay and what must leave.
Because what is destined for you will become your destiny, and vice versa.
Whatever we hold today is not truly ours.
Everything is only a trust that Allah allows to stay for a while. When the time comes for it to return,
our only task is to let go with contentment.
“To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.” (Q.S 2:284)
Don’t look down on people’s choices:
- Who delay buying a vehicle
- Who look for promos and discounts that don’t violate Islamic principles
- Who choose a minimalist lifestyle
They might be trying to stay financially disciplined, avoid riba, and build simple blessed life.
Don’t be quick to judge people:
- Who still use an old phone
- Who prefer public transportation
- Who rarely take luxury vacations
Sometimes they’re learning to be patient, set priorities, and trying to keep their income pure and halal.😊
About riba
Riba is not just a fiqh concept.
It is something Allah Himself declares war against,
and that alone should be enough for us to stop and stay far from it.
“If you do not give up riba, then be informed of a war from Allah and His Messenger.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 279)
Halal wealth may grow more slowly,
but it grows alongside a peaceful heart.
And in a world like ours today,
that kind of peace is an incredibly precious blessing.
Riba can make life look comfortable and effortless at first, but in reality, we’re only storing up loss and worry for later.
May Allah always guide us to choose what is halal, in every decision and every step we take.'
May this be a reminder for all of us,
“Wealth without blessings will never bring peace.”
But halal income, free from riba, no matter how small, will always bring lasting blessings and true contentment. Aameen🤲
