Alright. Update:
Thinking this second and third year of recovery are going to be processing a lot of the trauma that I’ve experienced and that I have actually created for others in my interpersonal relationships. I have a good therapist who is beginning this journey with me.
I’ve done things I wish to never do again. I feel deep remorse. I have things done to me that I am beginning to remember. I am going to learn to forgive myself. It’s going to be the most painful thing I’ve done, but, again. It is the beginning of the rest of my life.
Acknowledging that, yes, much of the way you’ve been living your life up to this moment doesn’t align with your values. That horrible things have happened that no one can change. All you can do is grieve your losses and not make things worse it’s painful and crucial.
Feeling really depressed today. So irritable. Terrible intrusive thoughts. Not having my normal means of communication and having to work that much harder to talk to people is NOT helping my tendency to isolate. Here’s me taking accountability to like… use my skills and such.
I tell so many stories. After a while I kind of started believing they were all just stories. That those kinds of things happen to someone else. As I start fact checking the past I’m finding I’ve done so much and so much of this stuff really did happen. Complex feeling.
I’m also getting to start a collaboration with my cousin @jasonw22! We’ve been talking about music for forever now. He is the smartest person I know. I’m very honored & excited to be making something with him. My heart could explode. It’s a, like, real long time coming everyone.
Sometimes I’m surprised I have any friends left at all, and then… I see some of you all out here speaking outloud on Twitter. Baby dolls, find some God or whatever.
Ordered both transcripts from STLCC and MU.
The process was a lot. It brought back a lot of confusion around memories. My memory really is shot from a number of things, and piecing together some of these details from burry years? It’s hard, also validating.
@devonlynn My mom reminded me two days ago that I was technically diagnosed ADD in 11th grade. I’m glad to know. The “name it to tame it” thing really helps for me. I can cope ahead & participate intentionally in life still, more than ever, with all of my diagnoses. I’d recommend testing.
