You know what my degraded raid array didn't give me? A bunch of empty directories. #stillbitter

[Z @zeelot3k]

Dug through storage to find the 1.5TB of data @crashplan lost. Degraded 4 disk raid array but recovering!

[Z @zeelot3k]

I suppose there is a chance that the web only works on OSX now.

[Z @zeelot3k]

You know, to like, return text to a browser.

[Z @zeelot3k]

Sure am glad they built this wonderful thing using React.js or which ever other fancy internal framework they decided was needed.

I'm on an extremely powerful Windows gaming desktop. And @twitter is lagging. Clunky 5 second delay between mouse states when hovering link.

[Z @zeelot3k]

Sometimes I wonder if, as a linux user, I am experiencing a shittier web app than everyone else. But I'm on windows right now.

[Z @zeelot3k]

Your excuse for having 20 scripts loading and calling out to random APIs every 2 seconds is that you call your wall of text an App.

[Z @zeelot3k]

You've escaped this time!

[Z @zeelot3k]

I was going to yell at someone preaching JS as amazing but then @twitter decided to throw me into a completely new section of the timeline.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 oh yeah that could work but I literally lost the data. I no longer have it anywhere locally.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 does @backblaze not do encryption? is the interface not as nice?

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 how do you mean?

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 @backblaze I wonder how expensive ZFS snapshots to S3/EBS/Glacier would be.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 heard good things about @backblaze but I need linux support. thinking of doing my own FreeNAS + Something.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 @paynejoe I actually restored the backup because they emailed me a warning that the data would be lost in a few days.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 @paynejoe I would also be "ok" with that response. but that's not what they said.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 @paynejoe if you send me an email every month saying you have 100% of my 72k files. I want 72k my files!

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 @paynejoe I'm actually ok with most of the responses. except for these emails.

[Z @zeelot3k]

@mookman288 @paynejoe I got two weeks into daily emails about de-duplications. got on the phone and had the same thing explained. gave up.
