@LeipzigLion I first thought it was just the beef with the former coach and his mental health struggles. Now it seems like its his ego has played into this whole ordeal.
❗️ W towarzyskim meczu rozgrywanym dzisiaj, reprezentacja Japonii B pokonała przed własną publicznością (4-0) reprezentację Kuby, która wystąpiła w składzie z ostatniego turnieju VNL.
Bardzo dobre zawody zanotował utalentowany Keihan Takahashi, którego mogliśmy obserwować, https://t.co/dOyOKv2Zeu w poprzednim sezonie w rozgrywkach Ligi Narodów. 🇯🇵

Idk what happened to him after the 2022 NT season. It seemed like his relationship with Winiarski wasn’t good but if he’s making these statements even with the overhaul of coaching staff, I’m guessing it’s something more personal.

[Cytat: More Than Physio Podcast].

Tatsu: “Bonjour!”
Cameraman: “What are your impressions of Paris?”
Tatsu: *glances and points at masato* “It’s like a grand version of Tokyo.”
Cameraman: “Kai-kun played there too, didn’t you?”
Masato: “It’s one of the cities I like.”
Wassim Ben Tara literally told the truth; he didn't leave Perugia because he received a higher offer, as had been rumored:
"The president said I wanted to earn more, but I never negotiated with him, not even once. And as I said before, I didn't look for offers, I didn't negotiate to extend my contract, because I still had a year left.
And as I said before, I didn't look for offers, I didn't negotiate to extend my contract, because I still had a year left. I accepted the offer I received when I signed the contract. I'm sorry to say this, but what he said was nonsense. It annoyed me a little at the end of the season, but I didn't say anything because I respect everyone."
Wassim Ben Tara stated that among the reasons why left Perugia there were also the harsh words of the presidency:
"I was annoyed by the words that the president used against us. I stopped liking the words that were used about me and the team. I had enough, I couldn't stand it anymore. I was upset and couldn't take it anymore.
I wanted to be respected, because I know that we players need to feel respected and that someone appreciates our work."
final round should be in non-VNL country moving forward.
this is unfair to the teams who are fighting to get that spot only for the host country to take the last one. So why did they even bother to play if they are guaranteed?
UNFAIR @volleyballworld
That 8th spot in the final rounds SHOULD go to the team that deserves it. Host country be damned. There’s no reason a team that’s not even in the top 10 should make it in the later rounds.
Figure your shit out, VNL.
