The main problem is that probably every nursery in every major hospital or for that matter every ward and in every Gov and mostly private hospitals would not have adequate fire safety arrangements. You can add schools into this as well.

No one will do these arrangements even now after the shock value of this news subsides. This will not be ingrained in the work culture. If it isn't fire then it will be something else. This 3 rd world mentality doesn't get removed due to flashy malls or multiple lane roads and underpasses. This needs meticulous work culture that promotes quality improvement as well as robust systems for performance assessments and accountability.

What is the enemy of all this? Nepotism and adhocism. When people are above the rules, rules and protocols cease to matter. It starts from above. An illegitimate Gov cannot ask for its sub ordinates to work by the book nor can they keep their loyal associates away from important placements. The result is the rules and protocols are thrown out of the window. There is no selective adherence to rules.

Unfortunately everyone knows and understands this but slave to self preservation and personal ambitions.

میرے بچے کو نمونیا تھی ۔ کراچی کے ولیکا اسپتال لائی تو انہوں نے استعمال شدہ سرنج لگائی اور اس کو ایچ آئی وی ایڈز ہوگیا ۔ پہلے اٹھایا نہیں جاتا تھا اب دن بدن کمزور ہورہا ہے ۔

سندھ حکومت کے زیر انتظام ولیکا اسپتال میں استعمال شدہ سرنج لگانے سے سینکڑوں بچے ایڈز میں مبتلا ہوچکے ہیں اور 9 بچے انتقال کرچکے ہیں ۔

متاثرہ بچے کے والد نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ ہم سود پر پیسے لے کر بچوں کا علاج کرا رہے ہیں، ہم نے بچوں کے علاج کے لیے اپنی چارپائیاں تک فروخت کر دی ہیں، ہمیں 1 روپے تک کی امداد نہیں ملی

سندھ میں 1200 بچوں میں ایچ آئی وی کی تشخیص ہو چکی ہے، جبکہ ابھی تک متاثرین کی درخواست زیرِ التواء ہے

There needs to be an inflection point in our society as to how we treat our women. How men treat women as well as how older women in power structures of family treat weaker women. This cannot continue.

Women have right to marry whoever they want and if they do there is no point of honour killing. If you don't want to keep relations with her then don't but what is point of taking her life. This needs to be a prevailing thought in our society. Allah has allowed humans to sin and it is upto state to collectively reduce evil. No shariat allows honor killing.
