I sometimes hear folks talk about SDL-first as the only way or best way to build #GraphQL API these days. It might be good to remember that the original and one of the largest use of GraphQL defines schemas this way 👇(screenshot from a talk by Adam D.I. Kramer at FB/Meta)
Building a GraphQL API is no where near the complexity of writing a database, that’s a wild take. A GraphQL API implemented the classic way (resolvers + dataloader pattern) pretty much maps to a known set of database queries which you can optimize just like any other API.
Talking with a founder at a company paying the same compensation, globally:

🚨 Web developers 🚨
<a> and <button> are often misused. They have different purposes.
<a> is for navigating
<button> is for actions
This leads to 2 common mistakes:
1. Using anchors for actions.
2. Using buttons to navigate.
