🔴 Iraq Body Count publishes timeline of Gaza Ministry of Health-recorded deaths

A new graphic by Iraq Body Count charts the 72,835 Palestinians whose violent deaths were certified by Gaza’s Ministry of Health between Oct. 7, 2023 and May 7, 2026, showing the number of deaths recorded each week over 135 weeks.

The chart illustrates how the deadliest periods came during the opening weeks of Israel’s military campaign, with sustained waves of killings continuing throughout the war.

The figures exclude indirect deaths caused by Israel’s blockade, including from lack of food, water, fuel, shelter and medical care.

Iraq Body Count notes that recent monthly totals may include recovered bodies from people killed earlier, while thousands more remain missing.
