DARK HOSPITAL DEATH FACTS
1. Nurses often say 3-4 a.m. is when most patients pass away - the body is at its weakest during those hours.
2. Some terminal patients suddenly get a burst of energy before death - they seem normal.. then pass within hours.
3. Hearing is believed to be the last sense to fade - which means patients may still hear loved ones even when unrespossive.
4. In rare cases, bodies can make small sounds after, death due to trapped air leaving the lungs - which can terrify new hospital staff.
5. Some hospice workers say certain patients 'know` the exact day they're going to die - and mentally prepare for it.
One thing is clear. President Trump is going max in his last term. He is going after the difficult to impossible tasks that have long plagued the U.S. geopolitically. He is not guided by polls or talking heads on the news or social media. Panama Canal, Venezuela, Iran, China etc…
History will judge the results, but on some level you gotta respect his commitment to his conviction that he is acting in the best interest of America.

We need more movies like this.
"He protected the halflings and fought the Uruk-Hai is what he did! He died for his King Aragorn is what he did! And in this house, Boromir is a hero!"
I'm not sure how many people here realize this, but the era of human-dominated content on this platform is rapidly coming to an end. Elon knows it, no doubt. In essence, X is going to be transformed into a place where bots debate other bots, while a few obsolete humans who don't know what's happening spend their days arguing with the bots.
Only in America can you find a kid wearing $150 tennis shoes, drinking a $5 cup of coffee, typing on his $1,000 cell phone, and complaining on social media that he is oppressed and that capitalism has failed him.
This is happening because the math of modern cities is colliding with the demography of modern families. When enrollment drops (Philly’s down about 20% over the past decade) but the fixed costs don’t..aging buildings, utilities, staffing, maintenance running $500M a year..districts eventually have to consolidate. A $2.8B facilities plan sounds like investment, but the closures are the real signal..you can’t run a 20th century footprint on a 21st century student base. And the student base is shrinking for reasons that go way beyond any one district..fewer births, later family formation, out migration, and families opting into charters, private and homeschooling when trust breaks or options expand.
What it means for the future is bigger than schools. Schools are often the largest civic employer, the neighborhood anchor, and a hidden driver of property values. When they consolidate, you get second order effects..longer commutes for kids, destabilized neighborhoods, political backlash, and a feedback loop where families who can leave do leave. The flip side is that it forces a reckoning every town in America is heading toward..we either shrink smarter (repurpose buildings, modernize the footprint, fund schools without tying everything to headcount) or we drift into slow municipal stress with rising per capita costs, tougher budget fights, and a hollowing out of local institutions. This isn’t a Philly story. It’s the early visible edge of a national fewer kids, higher fixed costs era and cities that adapt fastest will look stable, while the ones that don’t will feel like they’re constantly closing something.
