LOOK AT THE CROWD AT LOUIS ARMSTRONG!!! 😭🔥🇵🇭
Alex Eala is BRINGING THE CROWD!!! This is why our girl belongs here! She brings the energy, the hype, and the people!!! 🥹🎾
OUR GIRL BRINGS THE CROWD. So yeahhhhh, she deserves it!!!!
The funny thing about this conversation is that some people are questioning why Alex Eala is getting a bigger stage, when the answer has always been right in front of them: people are watching.
In today’s sports world, attention is part of the game. The engagement, the views, the conversations, and the number of people she brings into tennis are not something you can simply ignore. Tournament organizers, sponsors, and management don’t put players in promotions because of favoritism alone. They do it because they see impact, demand, and the ability to bring more eyes to the sport.
A bigger court for Alex is not an insult to Swiatek, Anisimova, Keys, Andreeva, or anyone else. Their greatness does not disappear because another player receives attention. A spotlight is not something that gets smaller when shared. Sometimes one person standing under that light is what helps others be seen too.
Instead of asking, “Why does Alex get this opportunity?” maybe ask, “What can we do to help our favorite players create the same demand?” Because a bigger stage is not built by complaining about someone else’s success. It is built by fans showing up, buying tickets, creating noise, and proving that people care.
Some of us are new to tennis, and that should never be something to laugh at. Every fan was once a beginner. Every fan once searched for names, learned the rules, and found a reason to love the sport. For many Filipinos, Alex was that reason.
Because of her, people discovered tennis. They learned about Iga, Rybakina, Pegula, Keys, and many other amazing players. They didn’t just become Alex fans; they became tennis fans. And that is something every sport needs: new people who are willing to love the game.
Tennis in the Philippines will never grow if we gatekeep the sport and mock those who are just starting to appreciate it. A community should not make people feel small for being new. It should be proud that more people are finally paying attention.
So if you want your favorite players on bigger courts, support them with the same energy you use to criticize Alex. Build their audience. Celebrate their achievements. Help them become more visible.
Because Alex Eala’s rise is not a threat to anyone. Her success is proof that Filipinos can create attention, passion, and love for tennis. The goal should never be to pull someone down from the spotlight. The goal should be to create enough light for everyone.

The reaction to Alex Eala receiving Louis Armstrong Stadium over Swiatek, Anisimova, Keys and Andreeva misses a basic point.
Her following has reached a scale that smaller courts cannot reasonably handle. Tournament directors are scheduling for actual demand, not just rankings.
If you think you have a better court in your backyard that can accommodate Eala Mania, take it up with the directors.

“You’ve been lighting up tennis courts all year. With that comes countless Filipino flags & a wave of noise. It just seems to get louder every time you play.” 😂
Alex: “Yeah, I don’t know 😭. The support I’ve been getting the past couple of days here in New York, and to be frank, everywhere around the world… I wanna thank the community here in New York. The tennis fans, not just from the Philippines, but who have been making me feel so loved and are so enthusiastic, contributing to the growth of women’s tennis. Thank you everybody for being part of my journey and making it such a pleasure to do my job.” 🇵🇭🥹
