Just a few weeks ago, Mr. @BitiTendai, a comrade and human rights lawyer in Zimbabwe, was speaking out strongly condemning our brutal persecution by the Museveni regime following the sham Jan. 2026 election. Unfortunately, as I type this, he has joined the long list of comrades in Africa unfairly detained by their governments for seeking freedom.
Biti was arrested alongside other freedom fighters in Zimbabwe for resisting attempts to extend the presidential term there to seven years and restrict the election of the President to members of Parliament only. It is disturbing to see this script, which Ugandans are already familiar with, being deployed in Zimbabwe as well.
Biti's arrest is a cowardly attack on all citizens of Zimbabwe by a regime that cannot sustain open debate about their future without resorting to brute force. I call for his immediate, unconditional release together with the colleagues detained with him. The people of Zimbabwe deserve freedom, and leaders chosen by them. The struggle continues!
The things done by Zpf I disagree with;
1. Believing in the spilling and shedding of innocent blood.
2.Using violence to settle political differences.
3.Using hate and lies to manipulate citizens.
4. Dividing the nation along partisan and tribal lines.
5. Raiding state coffers and looting.
6.Believing in foul play and living by hook and crook. especially kubira sarudzo and the rigging of all other national processes.
7. Believing in rituals & voodoo politics.
8. State party conflation otherwise known as partocracy. Asiri weZpf haadye haalume! No,Zimbabwe is bigger than one party.
9. Bastardizing and criminalizing different opinions. Asiri wedu unounyana!
10. Forcing over 5 million Zimbabweans into the diaspora.
11. Defiling the church and bribing pastors
12. The Vene philosophy and Pasi naNgana Pasi naNhingi. Bodo!!
