Usually, when both teams have elite midfielders to dictate tempo, the match turns chaotic. Both teams ultimately fail to take charge. And in this chaotic match state, Gavi thrives.

I’m honestly not optimistic. While Martinez isn't platforming Portugal well, Spain will still struggle.

The ingredients are just not there, the team isn't clicking. Quality-wise, only Lamine & Pedri can make something happen.

Yes, actually the little amount of optimism this Spain team has shown so far was against Austria. This is I also believe to a certainly extent they can pull something off.

But there were some obvious holes and lackings against Austria as well. And if the same errors were to repeat tonight, Portugal will punish them hard.

It will not be Lamine vs Nuno Mendes tonight. It'll be Nuno Mendes + 3 others vs Lamine. Nonetheless, expect usual display of greatness from Lamine.

Ultimately, the ones from Barca, Lamine, Pedri, Cubarsi, Olmo and Gavi, these are the ones end up taking the most responsibility.
