Parece que Sony viene pisando fuerte con su nueva estrategia y lo que quiere ir implementando de a poco de cara a los próximos años:

Salió un informe donde se menciona que Sony Bank, una filial financiera de Sony, recibió aprobación por parte del regulador de EEUU para crear su propio banco (Connectia Trust, con 40 millones de dólares) con un solo objetivo: lanzar su propia moneda digital atada al dólar para que le pagues juegos, anime y suscripciones dentro de su ecosistema.

Apunta a 2027, y el objetivo es ahorrarse las comisiones que hoy le paga a las tarjetas.
¿Y por qué esto se conecta con lo de los discos? Porque es el mismo camino:

- Primero se ahorran el gasto de lo físico, la única forma en que el juego era realmente tuyo y lo podías prestar, vender o jugar sin internet.
- Después manejan todo lo que vendan en digital, eligiendo según tu necesidad y tu actividad en la cuenta, a que precio vas a ver "ofertas".
- Y ahora suman su propia moneda para que hasta la plata con la que comprás viva dentro de Sony.

Parece que la decisión de los discos fue solo la primera pieza de esto.

Valve is getting praise after helping a first-time indie developer instead of rejecting their game at the last minute.

The developer accidentally uploaded a broken build that wouldn’t launch just before the Steam Next Fest deadline.

Instead of rejecting it, a Steam reviewer found the problem, fixed the game’s configuration, and approved the build in time for the event.

Other indie developers also shared that Valve has done the same for their games
