Pharaoh vs. Musa (AS)

Pharaoh said:

«“Leave me to kill Moses, and let him call upon his Lord…”»

Pharaoh feared that Musa (AS) would challenge his authority and turn people away from his false beliefs. Despite his display of confidence, his words revealed how threatened he was by the truth Musa brought.

Tyrants often fear the truth more than weapons.

Verse 27 — Musa (AS) seeks Allah’s protection

Musa (AS) responded:

«“Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account.”»

Instead of responding with fear, Musa (AS) turned directly to Allah for protection. This teaches us to rely upon Allah when facing oppression, threats, or injustice.

🌙 Verse 28 — The believing man from Pharaoh’s family

Then, a believing man from Pharaoh’s family, who had concealed his faith, courageously spoke:

«“Will you kill a man because he says, ‘My Lord is Allah’?”»

He reminded Pharaoh’s people that if Musa (AS) was lying, his lie would harm only him—but if he was truthful, then rejecting him would bring them to ruin.

Truth does not become false because tyrants oppose it.

📖 Surah Ghafir 40:26–28

May Allah make us people who stand for truth, trust Him in times of fear, and remain firm upon faith. Ameen. 🤲
