i love when your cat is sleeping in bed with you and then you get up in the middle of the night to go do something and you turn around to see that your cat has followed you and is staring at you with a tired grumpy face as if you forced them to get up and follow you
Over October marked 12 years of music with its biggest solo concert yet tonight at the New Frontier Theater, bringing the Octobears together for a night of songs, memories, and celebration. The milestone show traced the band’s journey across its catalog, revisiting music that has soundtracked different chapters of its story while looking ahead to what comes next.
The anniversary celebration also brought Benny of The Ridleys, Ena Mori, Angela Ken, and Apo Hiking Society’s Jim Paredes and Boboy Garrovillo joining @overoctoberph onstage.
Running alongside the celebration was a bittersweet farewell. After 12 years behind the drums, Janessa performed her final concert with Over October, sharing the stage with Josh, Anton, Lua, and Joric for the last time as a five-piece. “Big thank you to you, boys, for 12 years. It’s not easy—leaving. Thank you for choosing me to be your drummer,” she told her bandmates, reflecting on the years they spent building the band together.
Janessa also turned her gratitude toward the Octobears, recognizing the community that has grown alongside Over October throughout its 12-year journey. “Literally, you made this. We are standing here because of you,” she told the crowd.
Over October closed the celebration with “Ikot” and “Kaakit-Akit,” giving the Octobears a final sing-along before the band took its last bow at the New Frontier Theater.
Sobrang pangit ng economy ng PH now. If u’re not affected & u can’t feel it, good for u.
But if u’re paying utilities, groceries, or filling up with gas/fuel, u know how heavy everything has become.
hope we all make it through, coz I don’t know where we’re headed in the next
